How can I buy tickets?


The Blue Note Box Office is open during ticketed shows only. It opens 1⁄2 hour before doors open for that show. You can purchase a fee-free ticket to any upcoming Blue Note or Rose Music Hall show when the box office is open. You may also purchase tickets to Blue Note shows in advance, the following ways (fees may apply on all):

Where do I park?

We do not have our own lot but there is ample street and garage parking within walking distance of the venue. Click here for a comprehensive list of available parking locations and parking related FAQs.

Can I bring a camera to the show?

Our house policy is no flashes, no detachable lenses, no professional rigs, and no audio or video recording. This is subject to change as our artists have their own policies that we are obliged to follow.

Do you serve food?

No, we do not.

Can I bring in my own food/drinks?

Outside food or drinks are not allowed in the venue. Downtown Columbia is peppered with dining establishments to fit all tastes and moods and we encourage you to patronize our neighbors in The District before and after an event to ward off hunger pains. Additionally, we have two fully stocked bars and a public drinking fountain to quench any thirsts you may work up during your visit.

If I leave the show can I come back in?

We reserve the right to enforce a no minor re-entry policy: if you are under 21 and leave the building, you will not be re-admitted. If you are over the age of 21, you are free to come and go as you please as long as you are still wearing the colored wristband you were given upon entry (as proof of ticket purchase).

Can I smoke in the venue?

Under City of Columbia Ordinance # 19252, “the possession of lighted smoking materials in any form is prohibited in all enclosed public places and enclosed places of employment in Columbia.” So, no.

Are your shows assigned seating?

We do have balcony seats that can be reserved for certain shows but many of our shows are general admission. You can find this information on a show’s event page on our website or on the ticket purchase page.

My ticket says something about a “minor surcharge.” What does that mean?

That means that anyone under the age of 21 is subject to a $2 cash surcharge before entering the building. The surcharge does not apply to those 21 or older.

I’m in a wheelchair but want to come to the show. Is your facility ADA accessible?

Yes. We are happy to make special arrangements to make sure you can get a good spot to watch the show, just give us a call: 573.874.1944.

Can I student charge tickets to one of your shows?

University of Missouri students may student charge tickets at the MSA/GPC Box Office located on the lower level of the MU Student Center.

Can I buy tickets to shows at other venues from your box office?

We only sell tickets for The Blue Note, Mojo’s, and the Roots ‘N Blues ‘N BBQ Festival.

Can I refund my tickets?

All tickets sales are final.
Tickets will only be refunded if an event is canceled.  Show times and support acts are subject to change without notice. In the event that a show is canceled, refunds are available at the point of purchase. For online purchases, refunds will be issued automatically to the card on which the tickets were purchased.
